Summer Solstice: Today is officially the longest day of the year!

20 June 2024

For all of us in the Northern Hemisphere, the Summer Solstice occurs on the 20th June 2024.

It is the “longest day” and “shortest night” of the year.

The summer solstice officially marks the start of summer (we live in hope in Northern Ireland)!

As we celebrate the arrival of summer, it is also an ideal time to reflect on our financial goals!

We are almost at the mid-point of the year with just 6 months to Christmas. So why not start planning ahead and saving for the festive season? Whether that be for a holiday or gifts for loved ones, starting early can help ease financial stress.

At Harp and Crown, we encourage you to get saving now and make the most of summer solstice! By saving a little extra each month you could have a worry-free holiday season. For example, if you set aside just £50 each month you would have £300 saved by Christmas.

We also offer lower interest rate loans for that little bit of extra help! One of the key benefits of our loans is the opportunity to borrow five times your savings balance. Ts and Cs apply.
