Harp and Crown Credit Union donate to Brooke House

Located in the private and peaceful setting of Colebrooke Park (home to Viscount & Viscountess Brookeborough), Brooke House Health and Wellbeing Centre provides “safe secure specialist services” for those who have served and those who care for them. 

This includes serving and retired members of the British Armed Forces, the Police, Prison and Emergency Services, and their families and carers in Northern Ireland, Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland.

Brooke House provides a unique model of intervention which takes account of the physical, psychological, and social wellbeing of individual clients and their families. Working towards a model of recovery, they deliver treatment and care through a range of support services. These include trauma focused psychological therapy, physiotherapy, complementary therapy, and a variety of nature-based therapies.

“Having visited the Brooke House facility to present our charity donation, I saw first-hand the incredible work and care which goes into providing this essential service to those who need help and support within the uniformed services, their families and carers.  The Walled Garden in particular, dating from the 1800s was a very special experience and it was great to hear about its history and the positive impact of “Nature Based Therapy”.  Many within our police family may not yet know this facility is available to them or may mistakenly think it’s bespoke to the County Fermanagh region.  We are delighted the Harp and Crown Credit Union can support our police family and friends through our donation and would encourage you to visit and support the facility in any way you can.”
