International Charity Day - Charis Cancer Care Donation

Harp and Crown have donated £1,000 to the charity, which will go towards offering holistic and complementary therapies to those affected by cancer. 

Nestled on the banks of Lough Fea, Charis Cancer Care is a beacon of hope. They are dedicated to supporting the emotional, psychological and physical wellbeing of people from across Northern Ireland who have been affected by cancer. The charity works in conjunction with clinical treatments for cancer to provide a holistic approach to clients. They do this by offering clients every form of support possible, including counselling, nutritional information and mindfulness. All this is carried out in purpose-designed treatment rooms and delivered by trained practitioners free of charge.

Last year, the charity supported over 1,000 clients, offering 6,278 sessions of counselling, complementary treatments, nutritional advice, financial guidance and a listening ear – because they believe everyone deserves compassion and understanding.

Charis Cancer Care will be hosting their 4K “Walk the Fea Way” event on Saturday 27^th September.  The lakeside walk and family fun day takes place at Lough Fea between 11am – 3pm and includes a complimentary lunch.
