Harp and Crown Credit Union donate to the RUC GC Foundation

The Harp and Crown Credit Union Board of Directors were invited to visit the Royal Ulster Constabulary George Cross Memorial Garden at Brooklyn HQ in July.  This was a very humbling experience, and all could see how much thought and care had gone into the garden.

Harp and Crown Credit Union CEO, Siobhan Barclay said; “We had the privilege to attend a recent visit to the RUC GC Memorial Garden and learn more about the Foundation itself and their vital projects which support the police family.  We are delighted that our ‘police family’ credit union can help support the Foundation in this way.”

The Royal Ulster Constabulary GC Foundation chairman, Professor Stephen White OBE commented, “On behalf of the Foundation’s trustees, and of course all our volunteers and stakeholders, I would like to express sincere gratitude to the Harp & Crown Credit Union for this much-appreciated donation. We receive a small grant from the Department of Justice each year but without donations we simply could not fulfil our important mandate - ‘to mark the sacrifices and honour the achievements of the RUC’. It is fitting that HACCU’s generosity will enable us to continue our work commemorating and promoting the service provided by those who wore a harp and crown cap badge. I know all of them, and their families, will be absolutely delighted to hear this news. Thank you everyone at the Credit Union”.
