Harp and Crown Credit Union donate to White Ribbon NI

The campaign was formed in 1991 by a group of male students in Canada. Their goal was and still is to send out a message that violence against women in all its forms is unacceptable.

In Northern Ireland, White Ribbon NI works with schools, churches, sports organisations, and workplaces to challenge harmful attitudes and promote healthy relationships.

Siobhan Barclay, Harp and Crown Credit Union CEO said: 

“Harp and Crown Credit Union recognises the vital work being done by White Ribbon NI to end violence against women and girls.  We hope our donation can go some way to help White Ribbon NI deliver their ‘Listen, Learn, Lead’ programmes, educating boys and men across Northern Ireland.  We would encourage as many of our members as possible to support this important initiative.”

Leigh Collins, Listen Learn Lead Facilitator, White Ribbon NI said:

"As a Listen, Learn, Lead trainer on the White Ribbon team, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for this generous donation. This support will go a long way in enhancing the vital work we do within our community, engaging with sports teams, youth groups, and community hubs. By actively encouraging the involvement of men and boys, we can create a culture of respect and responsibility. If we are able to end violence against women and girls, it is essential that EVERYONE plays their role."
