Happy World Social Media Day!

30 June 2026

social media day 26
Thank you to our amazing Social Media community for your continued support.

Our growing social media family

We are delighted to announce that as of the end of June, Harp and Crown Credit Unions following has grown by over 16% across our social media channels in the space of a year: FacebookInstagramX/TwitterLinkedIn and Threads.

Importance of social media

Social media has changed the way in which we all communicate. For us it allows us to:

  • Connect with our members through the digital platform of their choice.

  • Build a community with followers sharing our "police family" and "credit union" interests and values.

  • Information sharing by allowing real time updates for important news and information.

  • Enhance brand visibility as maintaining an active social media presence makes it easier for more of our "police family" to discover us.

Staying safe online

Here are some measures you can take to stay safe online:

  • Private profile to control who sees your posts and information.  Only accept connection requests from people you know.

  • Limit personal information such as sharing your home location or daily routines.

  • Strong passwords that are unique and complex as well as using different passwords for different accounts.  Use two-factor authentication such as Google Authenticator for extra security.

  • Be aware of scams do not click on suspicious links or attachments from unknown senders.

We want to thank each of our followers for being part of our journey! Stay connected, stay safe and keep sharing!
