Harp and Crown Credit Union supported the PSNI Cancer Support Association (CSA) Walk and Talk event for the first time, and donated to the event’s charity partner, Make 2nds Count.
The 5th CSA Walk and Talk event took place on Friday 4th September in Stormont Estate. This is an event which encourages those living with a history of cancer to connect with each other, celebrate milestones and recognise those who supported them along the way.
The event this year was organised in memory of Karyn, a PSNI colleague with secondary breast cancer who sadly passed away. Karyn was supported by Make 2nds Count, though was also a volunteer helping them to help others.
Make 2nds Count is a UK patient and family-focused charity dedicated to giving hope to women and men living with secondary (metastatic) breast cancer.
Harp and Crown Credit Union supported the event’s charity ballot and the Credit Union chose Make 2nds Count as one of their charitable donations this year, donating £1,000.
The CSA Walk and Talk event has so far raised just under £3,500 for Make 2nds Count.
