Harp and Crown sponsor PSNI Bowling Club for the first time

Outdoor bowls has many health benefits, providing a gentle form of exercise, improving physical fitness and boosting mental and social wellbeing.

It’s also a very competitive sport, with the PSNI bowling team experiencing a very positive season:

•    Semi - finalists of the IBA Cup
•    The club finished in 5th position in Division 4 of the PGL League
•    In the PGL Junior Cup, PSNI were close to getting through to the Quarter final stage, missing out by 1 shot.

The finals day was held on Saturday 5th September and was very successful, with the following PSNI team members being awarded prizes:

•    A.Meaney lifted the open Singles trophy 
•    S.Armstrong/A.Meaney won the pairs 
•    S.Wilson lifted the 2-bowl trophy.

Afterwards the club members were treated to a well-deserved meal at the Crown Plaza.

The club welcomes interest from all ages and backgrounds to try out the sport of outdoor bowls.  An introductory session can be organised complimentary before committing to membership (Juniors aged under 16 years can join for free).
