Harp and Crown Credit Union donate to ILCU Foundation

Building on the success of the Irish Credit Union movement, the International Development Foundation, “the Foundation”, works with credit union movements internationally to achieve a collective aim – financial inclusion for people and communities everywhere. 

ILCU Foundation works closely with credit union movements in Sierra Leone and Ethiopia. The Foundation assists in building an equitable financial environment for all by providing access to education and affordable and ethical saving and loan products.

Harp and Crown Credit Union CEO, Siobhan Barclay said;

“Last year the Harp and Crown Credit Union team attended the very first ILCU Conference in Dublin.  As part of a wider and global ‘credit union movement’ we fully endorse educating and achieving financial inclusion.  We saw how the ILCU Foundation are strengthening the credit union movement in low-income developing countries and we’re humbled to be able to support this initiative through a charitable donation this year.  We are delighted to reaffirm ‘we are people helping people’ and wish the ILCU Foundation every success in achieving financial inclusion for all.”
