PSNI FA win in Isle of Man - wearing Harp and Crown CU branded kit no less!
22 February 2024

The PSNI FA representative team visited Isle of Man (IOM) last weekend to play against the IOM Police team.
Unfortunately the weather didn’t “play ball” and the pitches were waterlogged, so no match.
The PSNI FA team did however win a match against Douglas High School OB’s FC prior to this, wearing Harp and Crown Credit Union branded kit no less! Thank you to PSNI FA Chairman Alan McClune for organising. We’re hoping we are going to prove to be a lucky charm for the team!
The DCU League Committee would like to thank Jonny McKeever and Minty Murray for the selection of the squad and management of the team while in Douglas City. A special mention to Jonny who liased with the Causeway Coast and Glens Council twinning committee who made our trip to the IOM a successful and memorable occasion. Our thanks and gratitude to both members.
Thanks also to Causeway Coast and Glens Council who travelled with PSNI FA (Ballymoney is twinned with Douglas City).
Photo credit (Chairman Alan McClune): PSNI FA had a reception with the Douglas City Mayor, Natalie Anne Byron-Teare JP and also the IOM Chief Const Russell Foster with presentations made to both. A PSNI Plaque was presented to the Douglas High School OB's team.
Pictured also…on Douglas Promenade…a hugely popular musical trio who were born on the Isle of Man…can you name them??
