Small Business Saturday

small business saturday 2025

Small Business Saturday UK is a nationwide campaign which takes place on the first Saturday in December each year.

It highlights small business success and encourages consumers to support small businesses in their communities.  Many small businesses take part in the day by hosting events or offering discounts.

FIVE WAYS to support small businesses this Saturday:

  1. SHOP LOCAL independent shops like farm shops, bakeries, and small fashion boutiques instead of large chain stores. Many of these stores now offer online services so you can support local with your purchases both off and online. To find small businesses near you use this small business finder.

  2. LEAVE POSITIVE REVIEWS which are free and only take a few minutes of your time but could greatly benefit the business.

  3. SHARE DETAILS of businesses with your friends and family as word of mouth is one of the most valuable marketing tools for small businesses.

  4. THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA by simply following the small businesses social media platforms or sharing images of you experience using location and hashtags #SmallBizSatUK.

  5. BUY GIFT CARDS which provide the business with immediate financial help, but also helps them build customer loyalty since they can redeem those gift cards when they need them.
