Harp and Crown Credit Union sponsor The Wagglers

Harp and Crown Credit Union were very humbled to receive such a high level of interest in sponsorship this year, this being the largest amount of sponsorship requested to date in their 25 years of operation.
Harp and Crown are delighted to be able to support an array of clubs and events this financial year within the wider police family. This includes the Match Fishing Club of the PSNI, “The Wagglers”.
The Wagglers were formed in 2005 to allow anglers within the police family the ability to enjoy their sport in a safe environment. Amongst their members are retired and serving police officers impacted from the Troubles. The club has gone from strength to strength, now competing within Police Sport UK, regularly sending teams to PSUK events across the UK. They have hosted the event twice in their short history and have been asked to rehost in 2025. In addition, their team is taking part in the Police European Championships. Whilst the club creates a highly competitive atmosphere, they also promote an agenda of well-being and support.

When police sport is under real pressure both financially and in terms of allowing serving officers time to participate, it is so encouraging to see the Harp and Crown promoting police sport which in turn improves that sense of camaraderie, teamwork and undoubtedly mindfulness.”
