Siobhan is shortlisted for Leader of the Year Award
14 September 2023
Earlier this week we received fantastic news…we have been SHORTLISTED for this year’s Northern Ireland Social Enterprise AWARDS!
We wanted to wish our CEO Siobhan Barclay the very best of luck in the “Leader of the Year” category!
As you can see below we think the world of this lady!
‘A leader can be defined as somebody who creates a vision that inspires people to follow that vision and move forward towards achieving it’.
“Siobhan has created a vision for our organisation and instilled a sense of community within our team. Our ethos is not simply defined by our year-end figures but growth in our community to facilitate helping and serving that same community. It takes great skill (and patience) to change organisational culture but that’s what we’ve experienced here over the last 3 years. I’m not sure we, as a team would have achieved so much here were it not for Siobhan’s vision and leadership skills.”
Nigel McGonigle, Senior Loans & Member Services Officer
“During my time in Harp & Crown Credit Union as the Finance & Compliance Officer, I have been lucky enough to not just have a leader who gifts me the opportunity to show my full potential, but also have a mentor who has provided guidance within the accountancy profession. Through this I have gained a vast amount of knowledge, confidence, and self-belief. Siobhan has showed tremendous patience, reliability, and work ethic to progress the credit union and has earned unwavering confidence and trust from the staff and directors. Siobhan’s mentorship in not just accountancy, but also business development has only encouraged somebody like myself to want to emulate these high standards as I go further into my career and I am confident in saying the entire team is grateful to have such an impactful and understanding leader.”
Scott Houston, Finance & Compliance Officer
“When I joined the Harp and Crown Credit Union, I was seeking flexibility with a young family but didn’t want to forfeit the opportunity of progressing in my career. A difficult balancing act! From day one Siobhan has demonstrated how flexible, selfless, empathetic, supportive, and encouraging (the list could go on) she is, both as a boss and a leader. I’ve yet to see Siobhan take any credit for the Harp and Crown successes, instead praising and encouraging her team, which in my eyes shows a true leader! It is very rare to experience a great ‘leader’ in employment and we have certainly struck lucky with Siobhan. I have never been happier and more satisfied in a job role and look forward to the journey ahead at the Harp and Crown, with Siobhan at the helm!”
Elaine Riddell, Digital Marketing Officer
Best of luck our Siobhan!
