• A Leap year occurs every FOUR years.

• Every year divisible by four is a Leap year and every year divisible by 100 is not.

• It is the rarest birthday of them all.

• Famous people born on February 29^th include Pedro Sanchez Spain’s Prime Minister, rapper Ja Rule, Dennis Farina an actor and Dinah Shore a singer/actress.

• There is an official Leap year cocktail unsurprisingly called the Leap Year Cocktail. It consists of Gin, Sweet Vermouth, and Grand Marnier.

• It is also known as Ladies’ Privilege Day that according to legend stems from a woman asking for women to have the right to propose.

• More than 4 million people around the world are born on Leap Day.
