Wedding Season and the Costs
21 September 2025

With wedding season wrapping up and more couples planning for 2026, remember organising a wedding is costly BUT so is ATTENDING a wedding!
According to Bride Book the average cost of a wedding in the UK has increased to £20,822 in 2025, up from £20,775 in 2024.
The figure rises to £26,583 including the engagement ring and honeymoon.
To add to this guests can expect to pay around £451 per wedding, which equates to nearly 19% of the average monthly UK salary.
Weddings really are pricey, especially when you factor in gifts, outfits, and travel.

Day of week: Midweek weddings continue to benefit from lower costs.
