PSNI RFC v Penallta

PSNI RFC played their last game of the 2024/25 season on 24th May at Newforge.

The opposition was a touring team from Wales, Penallta RFC.

Matt Hill opened the scoring with Chris Fleming adding the conversion. The visitors struck back after around 5 minutes to make it 7-5. It was a fiesty game with some tasty tackles. PSNI went in at half time 12-5 in front. It was a hard fought second half and 2 more converted tries for the home team gave a final score of 26-5.  It was a good game played in some torrential rain at times. 

Both teams retired to McCleaves Lock for some well earned food and refreshments. Special mention for the Newforge staff, excellent as always.

These days just don't happen. It was brought together by Ross Morgan, Big B and Bruno. Davy Adams brought his guitar and provided some excellent aftermatch entertainment. Great day all round.
