PSNI Probationary Officer Promotion at the Harp and Crown

As the cost-of-living crisis continues and with policing salaries at an all-time low, we appreciate the financial struggle for so many right now. 

The Harp and Crown Credit Union was created by the police for the police almost 25 years ago.  We provide safe, secure, flexible finances for the wider police family in Northern Ireland and this now includes families of members.

We want to encourage as many of our police family as possible to start saving now and plan for a healthier financial future.  For as little as £10 a month (plus a one-off £5 joining fee), straight from your PSNI payroll (or via direct debit if outside of payroll) you could secure a Harp and Crown Credit Union account and start enjoying the many benefits we have to offer.

Throughout March we are running a promotion specific to PSNI “Probationers” worth £625 and you could be eligible to take part!  The first 25 x PSNI Probationary Officers to open a Harp and Crown Credit Union account during March (*Ts and Cs apply) will qualify for a £20 deposit into their savings! And we’ll waive their £5 joining fee!

HOW TO ENTER

• PSNI Probationary Officers eligible must email creditunion@harpandcrown.co.uk, phone us on 028 9068 5198 or call into our office at Newforge Sports Complex, before close of play on 31st March, to request joining documents and must quote "PROBATIONER25".  Proof of PSNI Probationary Officer status will be required.

• Offer will be subject to availability and terms and conditions.  If we confirm 25 new Probationer members before 31^st March, the promotion will automatically close.

Terms and Conditions of £20 deposit 

1. First 20 x PSNI Probationary Officers to open a new Harp and Crown Credit Union account in March (subject to eligibility) receive a £20 deposit into their Harp and Crown Credit Union savings and will not incur the usual £5 joining fee.  

2. PSNI Probationary Officer definition/ terms and conditions – eligible applicants must be able to confirm in writing/by email evidence of their PSNI Probationary Officer status (including service number).

3. EXCLUSIONS APPLY:  if a Probationary Officer has had their probation extended, they are not eligible to take part in this promotion.

4. NEW Probationary Officer account must be set up with ONE deposit paid in, to avail of the £20 deposit into their account.

5. Qualifying applicants must contact us for joining documents, quoting "PROBATIONER25" before close of play on 31^st March 2023, however given the high level of interest we would encourage Probationary Officers to contact us at their earliest convenience. Once 25 x new members are verified subject to the promotion term and conditions, the promotion will close.

6. Once qualified for the £20 deposit (Harp and Crown CU account has been activated with first deposit paid in), the eligible member will receive £20 into their new Harp and Crown Credit Union savings account, within 21 days.

7. The qualifying Probationary Officers/new members (25 in total) will each have the usual one-off £5 joining fee waived for the purpose of this promotion.
