Harp and Crown Credit Union is proud to add a NEW sponsorship to its diverse range of support for the Police family.

The Credit Union is sponsoring the PSNI Clay Pigeon Club for the first time, with support going towards the club’s participation in the National Police Clay Pigeon Shooting Championships 2026 (Police Sport UK) later this year.

This is an annual event held in England which sees serving and retired police officers and police staff from over 20 forces compete against each other both as teams and individually over a 4-day competition.

This event attracts over 200 individual competitors which puts it as one of the largest clay pigeon events in the UK behind only the World Championships and the British Open.

PSNI/RUC have been attending this event for up to 50 years and have performed very well over the years, regularly finishing in the top 3 within the police forces and the international event contested between the best 5 shooters from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. This is something the club is proud of as they have less numbers compared to other UK based forces.

“At Harp and Crown Credit Union, we are proud to support a wide range of Police family sport initiatives, with a key focus on mental health and wellbeing.  We’re delighted to now include the PSNI Clay Pigeon Club and would encourage any Harp and Crown members, and their own family and friends, who enjoy the sport of Clay Pigeon shooting, to join the club.”

“The PSNI Clay Pigeon Club provides a safe environment for all to enjoy the sport, and it also provides a social circle for both serving and retired police officers and staff, which we believe is very important for their physical and mental wellbeing. Thanks to Harp and Crown Credit, their support will help us invest in more advanced equipment to improve individual and team performance, as we prepare for the forthcoming PSUK Clay Pigeon Championships.”

The club is made up of members from all backgrounds, this includes ethnic minority groups and retired officers who were injured in the line of duty. It is also their aim to work towards being in a position to field the first ever female team at the National Championships.

The Harp and Crown Credit Union wishes the PSNI Clay Pigeon Club a successful season and the very best of luck for the National Police Clay Pigeon Shooting Championships 2026.

The Harp and Crown Credit Union provides safe, ethical, and flexible finances to the Police and wider Police family in Northern Ireland.
