Harp and Crown Credit Union is proud to add a NEW sponsorship to its diverse range of support for the Police family.
The Credit Union is sponsoring the PSNI Clay Pigeon Club for the first time, with support going towards the club’s participation in the National Police Clay Pigeon Shooting Championships 2026 (Police Sport UK) later this year.
This is an annual event held in England which sees serving and retired police officers and police staff from over 20 forces compete against each other both as teams and individually over a 4-day competition.
This event attracts over 200 individual competitors which puts it as one of the largest clay pigeon events in the UK behind only the World Championships and the British Open.
PSNI/RUC have been attending this event for up to 50 years and have performed very well over the years, regularly finishing in the top 3 within the police forces and the international event contested between the best 5 shooters from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. This is something the club is proud of as they have less numbers compared to other UK based forces.
Staff members from Harp and Crown recently attended an Emergency League shoot, hosted by PSNI, with NI Prison Service also competing.

The club is made up of members from all backgrounds, this includes ethnic minority groups and retired officers who were injured in the line of duty. It is also their aim to work towards being in a position to field the first ever female team at the National Championships.
The Harp and Crown Credit Union wishes the PSNI Clay Pigeon Club a successful season and the very best of luck for the National Police Clay Pigeon Shooting Championships 2026.
The Harp and Crown Credit Union provides safe, ethical, and flexible finances to the Police and wider Police family in Northern Ireland.
