Happy International Men’s Day to our members!
Today we celebrate the men in our community and raise awareness about the issues that affect them.
Did you know… 59% of Harp and Crown Credit Union members are male?
And the police force in Northern Ireland is 55.5% male dominated?
International Men’s Day observed on November 19th, focuses on making a positive difference to the wellbeing and lives of men and boys, raising awareness and/or funds for charities, and promoting a positive conversation about men.
Key statistics to consider
- 76% of suicides are by men.
- 82% of rough sleepers are men.
- 1 in 3 victims of domestic violence are men.
