Men's Health Week

mens health week june 9

It's International Men's Health Week and the theme this year is "Shoulder-to-Shoulder: Connecting for Health".

Here is a message from the men at Harp and Crown Credit Union:

  • Talk to the people around you - Mental health in men is often overlooked with the pressure to appear “strong” and “be a man” because of this it is one of the main reasons men account for 3 out of 4 suicide deaths.

  • Make healthier lifestyle choices - 4 out of 10 cancers can be prevented by having a healthy lifestyle and avoiding risk factors.

  • Get physical - Taking part in sports contributes to health and wellbeing. HACCU sponsors many sport organisations within our common bond such as the PSNI Rugby Football Club, PSNI Cricket, Red Triangle ABC and The Wagglers.

Financial Problems

Homelessness is an increasing problem in society today with the ongoing cost of living crisis and men are more likely to experience homelessness than women. Having financial difficulties can largely impact on a person’s health. Talk to us today to get help with debts using our debt consolidation loans or our ideas on debt management and advice.

Useful Charities and Links
